A Vision (Board) for the Future

2020 — it was not pleasant knowing you. I think we can speak for everyone and tell you that we cannot wait to say "goodbye." The New Year is only a couple of weeks away, and you know what that means? It is time to get those vision boards ready and manifest the year 2021. Let's also be clear — if you think vision boards are pointless, then you are sadly mistaken. Just hear me out.

Gather up any photos, cut-outs from magazines, markers, and pens, and start drawing up your future because this is the roadmap to making your goals and aspirations to life. Think of this as a Pinterest board or a wall collage in your bedroom. These will kick start your imagination and visualize your goals. Let me share a story with you.

When Erin and I started our business back in October 2019, we agreed to create vision boards for 2020. We were beyond excited to gain clientele and to put ourselves out there more as Maltshop Marketing. Erin loves telling this story all the time, but now I am telling it! HAHA! Erin is more of a realist, while I am more of a dreamer and goes way beyond the stars with goals and ideas. When we wrote down the number of clients we wanted for 2020, Erin only put 10, but I put 50. Check this out — WE HAD 58 CLIENTS! Now, do you believe me that you still need to create a vision board? Of course, you do! Here are five more reasons why:

  1. Vision boards are fun.

  2. Vision boards give you a daily reminder of your goals and aspirations.

  3. Vision boards keep you in good spirits and reduce that fear and anxiety.

  4. Vision boards make you think deeply about life and where you want to be.

  5. Vision boards make you feel good about yourself.

Knowing that you have accomplished something from your board brings joy in the air. Erin and I have stayed motivated and have been more than happy to share our success with others from the community, family, and friends, along with our coworkers from our other jobs. Visualization is essential, and we hope that you have an excellent, prosperous 2021.

Happy Holidays.
