We're Officially One!
One year.
I’m going to be totally honest. I never thought we’d actually make it here. When we were dreaming and scheming last year, I never could’ve imagined how successful we’d be in our first year or how many lessons we’d learn about running a business.
When we made our vision boards for the year of 2020, Dellanee and I had wildly different goals for Maltshop. I conservatively put that I’d like for us to gain 10 new clients in 2020. She hoped we would gain 50. Well, somehow we managed to get 58! (I swear that girl has a REAL crystal ball in her closet…)
Along the way, we’ve gotten to do some really cool, fun things! Despite COVID-19 and its complete disruption to what we all thought was “normal,” we both used Maltshop as our way to focus during quarantine to execute some amazing things for some fantastic clients. From logo design to press release writing to web design and social media marketing, we’ve tackled a wide array of challenges for our clients. And amazingly, we were also able to hire people to join our team and help us meet those challenges head on before we were even a year old!
Now, I can’t say everything has been rosey during our first year. We’ve most certainly learned some hard lessons, too. In the end, we’ve been able to utilize those moments and trials to better our processes and grow as business owners and marketers.
Because you guys keep asking for swag….we’ve launched a “Treats” shop as part of our one-year celebration. The shop featured all sorts of cool designs from Dellanee, Andrew and Tyllor. All in all, I’m glad that Dellanee made me meet her at Rhino a year ago to discuss her literal dream of us owning a business. Our past year together has brought the fulfillment of dreams, attainment of goals, expansion of ideals, and new paths of adventure for the future.
One year. Of lessons. Of joy. Of struggle. And sweet, sweet growth. Here's to more scoops. more cherries and more sprinkles.
