Why We Created The Maltshop

 

Sometimes dreams do come true.

My partner Dellanee is one of those people whose dreams actually come true. Now, I don’t mean goals that we mistake for dreams. I mean her actual sleeping dreams. That’s where the MaltShop started.

Dellanee had a sleeping dream one night that she and I started a marketing agency. My initial reaction was laughter, but I quickly realized she was serious. She asked if I’d be interested and I told her I’d think about it. “How about we both write down some basic ideas for a business plan and have a phone call in a week or so to discuss?”

When we finally met up and discussed our ideas, they nearly mirrored one another. It was a bit, well, freaky. From there we discussed names and our path forward. Two weeks later, we had an LLC and were on our way.

WHY “MALTSHOP”

For those that don’t know me, I’ve always wanted to own an old school malt shop, complete with black and white checkered floors and red glitter barstools. Realizing the likelihood that will ever happen is slim to none, I offered the name up for our agency. Plus, it lends itself to some really clever copy and cute graphics, don’t you think?
